Grab your hug-suits and get ready to dive into the matrix. No, not that Matrix. Not this one either. We’re talking about the sci-fi comedy Upload. The Prime Video series will officially return for season 2 on March 11.
The show takes place in a technologically advanced future where hologram phones and 3D foot printers are the norm. But most importantly, people can opt to be “uploaded” into a virtual afterlife. The first season brought fans technology, laughs, a love triangle, and even a potential murder.

Season 2 will see Nathan at a crossroads in his (after) life. His ex-girlfriend Ingrid has unexpectedly arrived at Lakeview hoping to strengthen their relationship, but his heart still secretly yearns for his customer service angel Nora. Meanwhile, Nora is off the grid and involved with the anti-tech rebel group “The Ludds.”
Upload Season 2 is packed with new near-future concepts, including Lakeview’s newest in-app digital baby program called “prototykes,” and other satirical glimpses of the technological advances (and headaches) to come.
Emmy Award-winning writer Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks and Recreation) created the show. He also serves as an executive producer alongside Howard Klein.
The show stars Robbie Amell, Andy Allo, Kevin Bigley, Allegra Edwards, Zainab Johnson, Owen Daniels, Josh Banday, and Andrea Rosen.
