Godzilla had their latest adventure on screens last year with Godzilla vs. Kong. Now it seems like the Monsterverse is going to streaming in its future. Godzilla and the other Titans on the Monsterverse are getting a new show from Apple TV+ set in the franchise. Godzilla is the King of the Monsters once again after the thrashing he gave Kong in the most recent film.
There is no title for the series currently but the plot outline goes as follows:
Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the series explores one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.
Legendary Television and co-creators Chris Black (also serving as showrunner) & Matt Fraction are producing the show along with Toho. Godzilla has been busy in the US market since 2014’s Godzilla, and the other monsters in the universe appeared in Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Godzilla vs. Kong.
There’s no release date confirmed for the series so far.
