[WARNING: Spoilers ahead for The Book of Boba Fett, Chapter Four. Read on at your own risk.] Both director Robert Rodriguez and Fennec Shand herself (Ming-Na Wen) have promised big things for the final episodes of The Book of Boba Fett. Based on Chapter Four, all signs are now (finally?) pointing in that direction. That’s welcome news to fans, many of whom have had trouble embracing this series as much as they had its award-winning predecessor, The Mandalorian. As is often the case with Rodriguez’s work, TBOBF has been a slow burn leading up to an explosive conclusion…. Including the return of a fan-favorite character, and likely others.
The Book of Boba Fett Chapter Four give us the final flashback sequence to bring the story current. We learn how Boba saves Fennec’s life (and perhaps why he’s so lenient towards the body-modified Mos Vespa scooter gang). Likewise, we get to see him recover the Slave-I, er, his “Firespray Gunship.” Things really start to heat up, however, with the story’s return to the present. After a fantastic scene featuring a drunk Krrsantan ripping a Trandoshian’s arm off, he joins Boba for the upcoming battle with the Pyke Syndicate. Based on the final scene and some familiar music, it looks like Din Djarin will join him as well.
Who else will join The Book of Boba Fett?
Boba is going to need more than just Fennec, Mando and Krrsantan to win the war with the Pykes, though. So who else is likely to join his ranks? If the show follows the rumors and fan-casting, we may very well see Bossk and Dengar team up with their “frenemy” Boba Fett. With Krrsantan already in the mix, Bossk’s presence would indeed be interesting. The scene at Sanctuary already hinted at the long-standing, canonical blood feud between the Wookiees and Trandoshians, after all.
One big question is whether or not Bo Katan will join fellow Mandalorian Din Djarin in the final Book of Boba Fett chapters. Since she is reportedly getting her own series, that’s a distinct possibility. Maybe Koska Reeves with join, too. Other possibilities include comic book fan-favorite bounty hunter Valance. A bigger stretch might even see Han Solo and Chewbacca enter the fray, too. (Chewie has a pretty big bone to pick with the Pykes for enslaving his people, don’t forget. Can you imagine him fighting side by side with Krrsantan? Epic.)
All about uneasy alliances
If the meeting of the families in The Book of Boba Fett Chapter Four is any indication, the final chapters will feature a number of uneasy alliances. You don’t become an infamous bounty hunter without ruffling pretty much any feathers you encounter. Credits and grudges each go a long way, however. Just how far remains to be seen.
The Book of Boba Fett airs Wednesdays on Disney+.
