Say ‘bonjour’ to seasons 3 AND 4! Netflix just gave Emily in Paris a pretty impressive new year’s gift.
The Lily Collins series will continue for not just one, but at least two additional seasons. The renewal comes just weeks after the premiere of Emily in Paris season 2.
The show’s official Instagram account dropped the news this morning. You can see the announcement post below.
The romantic dramedy series sees Emily, an ambitious marketing executive from Chicago, unexpectedly land her dream job in Paris when her company acquires a French luxury marketing company — and she is tasked with revamping their social media strategy. Emily’s new life in Paris is filled with intoxicating adventures and surprising challenges as she juggles winning over her work colleagues, making friends, and navigating new romances.
The first season of Emily in Paris hit Netflix’s Global Top 10 lists in 53 countries. The second season premiered December 22, and already entered the Top 10 in 94 countries. In the first week of its season 2 premiere, Netflix subscribers watched the show for over 107 million hours.
Clearly, fans are invested in Emily’s Parisian escapades. So it makes sense Netflix is jumping on the opportunity to bring us more of Emily’s (mis)adventures.
In season 2, now more entrenched in her life in Paris, Emily’s getting better at navigating the city but still struggling with the idiosyncrasies of French life. After stumbling into a love triangle with her neighbor and her first real French friend, Emily is determined to focus on her work — which is getting more complicated by the day. In French class, she meets a fellow expat who both infuriates and intrigues her.
You can stream the first two seasons of Emily in Paris on Netflix now.
