For those who feel they were born in the wrong era – or those who just want to relive the glory days – listen up. You’re about to get the chance to time-travel back to The Beatles’ final concert.

The legendary band staged a performance on the rooftop of Apple Corps’ Savile Row HQ back on January 30, 1969. (The Beatles broke up shortly after, making this performance their last together.)

The events leading up to this final performance were recently revealed in The Beatles: Get Back documentary. But if you missed the full story (or just want to relive the concert), you’re in luck. The 60-minute concert will debut exclusively in IMAX theaters soon!

To celebrate the anniversary of the performance, IMAX will host a special screening and filmmaker Q&A with Peter Jackson on January 30. The special event will get a simultaneous broadcast across all connected IMAX theaters.

“I’m thrilled that the rooftop concert from The Beatles: Get Back is going to be experienced in IMAX, on that huge screen,” said director/producer Peter Jackson. “It’s The Beatles’ last concert, and it’s the absolute perfect way to see and hear it.”

Following the anniversary Q&A event, the concert will also play in IMAX theaters February 11 – 13. You can snag tickets for the Q&A premiere or the February weekend screenings now on tickets.imax.com.

“Ever since Peter Jackson’s beautiful and illuminating docuseries debuted, we’ve heard non-stop from fans who want to experience its unforgettable rooftop performance in IMAX,” said Megan Colligan, president of IMAX Entertainment. “We are so excited to partner with Disney to bring Get Back to an entirely new stage and give Beatles fans everywhere a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch and hear their heroes in the unrivalled sight and sound of IMAX.”

The full Beatles: Get Back docuseries premiered in November 2021. It features never-before-seen footage of the band in the days leading up to their final performance. You can stream the docuseries in its entirety on Disney+ now. (Note that the IMAX event will only show The Beatles’ concert performance, not the entire Get Back docuseries.)

You can also purchase the complete Get Back series on DVD/Blu-ray starting February 8.
