Everyone who played The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild probably suspect this for some time, but now it’s official. It’s now the greatest game ever. At least, if you believe in polls.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild ~ Number 1 Forever!
A recent poll was conducted by TV Asahi, reported and translated by ResetEra user Hayama Akito, during a 3-hour long show where they decided upon the best 100 video games in history.
Apparently, this poll consisted of a grand total of 50,000 votes. This gives us a pretty good clue as to what people think is the top video game in history. And of course, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Switch got first place. As you would expect from Link’s greatest adventure yet. At least, until the sequel comes out.

Food For Thought?
So far on this list of top 100 games, we see quite a few games we expect to see. Others though comes as a complete surprise. Would you have guessed that Splatoon 2 would make it into the top 10, or Undertale into the top 20? Heck, even as a Tales fan, I was surprised that Tales of the Abyss even made it onto the list at all, with how little-known the series is. In fact, it’s the only Tales game to make it onto the list, which isn’t a surprise if you’ve played the game, and know how good it is.
Perhaps you might have some strong opinions about which game made it into the top 30 or not? If you do, do you mind telling us in the comments section?
