Hello everyone, your friendly neighborhood, Professor Hulk, here. I’m about to drop some knowledge of some exciting stuff in the film and TV world. Earlier this week, we shared with you details on an Infamous film. This week, we’re talking about Silent Hill.
We can exclusively share that a live-action series is in development. The series will adapt the famous horror video game series.
Silent Hill started off on the PlayStation in 1999. The series follows a different protagonist in each entry as they make their way to the fictional town of Silent Hill. Each game has survival horror elements and combat against various monsters. The interesting thing about the game series and the stories they tell are the multiple endings of each game depending on how you play.
Where Will It Stream?
Currently, the series is in the middle of a bidding war among the major streaming platforms (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc.).
Once a streaming provider is found, expect a formal announcement.
Other Details About The Silent Hill Series
The series will be an episodic series broken into seasons. No word on if this will be anthology format or not.
Currently, there are no known plot details or character information. However, the video game series has a host of characters and stories it can adapt from, including the infamous Pyramid Head.
The show may also decide to do an original story. Considering the themes and many games in the series, there are a lot of possibilities for stories to be told.
So, what do you want to see out of a Silent Hill streaming series?
