The game is afoot… and you can experience a new Holmes mystery-adventure like never before! Enola Holmes just landed her own graphic novel.
Enola, teen super-sleuth and sister of the famous Sherlock Holmes, started her adventures in novels by Nancy Springer. Netflix then adapted the Edgar Award-nominated series into an Enola Holmes film, starring Millie Bobby Brown. It became one of the most-watched Netflix original features of all time, streamed by over 77 million households in its first four weeks of release.
The success led to Netflix greenlighting a sequel film. To hold fans over while they wait for the next installment, the streamer has partnered with Legendary Comics to release Enola Holmes: Mycroft’s Dangerous Game. The graphic novel will pick up where the first film left off, and help bridge the gap to the sequel currently filming.
Enola Holmes: Mycroft’s Dangerous Game sees Mycroft abducted by a mysterious group of anarchists. Enola investigates his disappearance in hopes of rescuing him and recovering something precious he took from her. With the help of Lord Tewkesbury and a young boy on the streets named Shag, she uncovers the truth behind her brother’s abduction and unravels a web of mystery that takes her deep into the London underground as she tries to foil the anarchists’ nefarious plot.
Original series author Springer returns to create the story for Enola’s graphic adventure.
“It was a great pleasure to develop this new Enola Holmes adventure with such a talented team, and it is an even greater pleasure to be personally included as a cameo in the graphic novel! Can you find me?” teased Springer.
Legendary Comics’ Senior Editor Nikita Kannekanti also praised the project.
“Nancy has come up with a really fun story with some charming new characters and some returning familiar faces,” adds Kannekanti. “I hope fans will enjoy solving the mystery with Enola!”
The graphic novel includes a story by Springer written by Mickey George, with artwork by Giorgia Sposito.
Enola Holmes: Mycroft’s Dangerous Game arrives August 23, 2022.
