Did you survive all the sites and apps crashing yesterday when Spider-Man: No Way Home tickets officially went on sale? Well, it’s a new day—and a new hot ticket is hitting the market. You can grab advance theater tickets to West Side Story starting November 30.
Okay, so the mad dash for West Side Story seats probably won’t compare to one of the most hotly anticipated Marvel multiverse films. But still, this Steven Spielberg production of one of the most popular musicals of all time will surely garner plenty of buzz.
In honor of the official advance ticket sale kickoff, 20th Century Studios also released a new clip from the film. Watch Rachel Zegler’s María and Ansel Elgort’s Tony sing “Tonight” below.
Directed by Academy Award winner Steven Spielberg, from a screenplay by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Tony Kushner, West Side Story tells the classic tale of fierce rivalries and young love in 1957 New York City. This reimagining of the beloved musical stars Ansel Elgort (Tony); Ariana DeBose (Anita); David Alvarez (Bernardo); Mike Faist (Riff); Brian d’Arcy James (Officer Krupke); Corey Stoll (Lieutenant Schrank); Josh Andrés Rivera (Chino); with Rita Moreno (as Valentina, who owns the corner store in which Tony works); and introducing Rachel Zegler (María). Moreno – one of only three artists to be honored with Academy, Emmy, Grammy, Tony and Peabody Awards – also serves as one of the film’s executive producers.
West Side Story premieres in theaters December 10. You can book your theater tickets now on Fandango.
You can also experience the music of West Side Story even sooner; the motion picture soundtrack will release digitally a week before the premiere on December 3.
