What’s done can’t be undone…unless you’re in the Ozark editing booth, that is.

The latest teaser for the upcoming fourth and final season takes a Christopher Nolan-esque approach, reversing a car crash and turning back time on screen.

“Human beings make decisions, they commit acts,” the voiceover says. “That makes things happen. Creates a snowball effect, causes other people to make decisions…”

Decisions which have consequences, and can’t be undone.

As the title cards warn, no ending is reached by accident. Building upon the previous three seasons, the final season of the Netflix series chronicles the Byrde family’s involvement in a dangerous criminal enterprise. Finally rid of Helen, Marty and Wendy climb to the top of Navarro’s empire. They find another opportunity to get out of the Ozarks, but some past sins won’t stay buried and the most dangerous threats come from blood.

The upcoming season will also see some new faces join the cast:

  • Javi Elizonndro (played by ALFONSO HERRERA ) – Tired of playing the obedient lieutenant, Navarro’s nephew looks to seize power for himself.
  • Mel Sattem (played by ADAM ROTHENBERG) – A disgraced ex-cop turned P.I. arrives to get Helen’s signature on her divorce papers and stumbles into the Byrdes’ dirty laundry. The more they lie, the more he digs.
  • Clare Shaw (played by KATRINA LENK) – CEO of a leading biopharmaceutical company makes a deal with the Byrdes and learns the true cost of power.

Ozark season 4 will premiere on Netflix in two parts. The first drops January 21.
