For those that have been excited about the future release of Patty Jinkins’ Star Wars: Rogue Squadron film, it now looks like you will have to stay excited a little longer. According to an exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter (THR) Rogue Squadron, which was supposed to go into production next year will not be happening now due to other commitments and scheduling conflicts.
Rogue Squadron Delayed
According to their sources, The Hollywood Reporter has reported that due to Patty Jenkins’ other commitments we will not be seeing Rogue Squadron anytime soon in the near future. Here is what was reported by THR:
“However, sources say the producers and filmmaking team came to the realization that Jenkins’ schedule and other commitments wouldn’t allow for the window needed to make the movie in 2022. Thus, Squadron has been taken off the production schedule. The hope is that once Jenkins’ fulfills her previous commitments, she will be able to return to the project.”
While nothing has been officially released yet from Disney, we do know that Jenkins is working on Wonder Woman 3 for DC and Warner Bros. and a Cleopatra film for Paramount.
