WHO IS KIM CATRALL PLAYING IN THE SERIES?

Similar to the original series, Cattrall is playing the future version of Hilary Duff’s character, Sophie, who tells her son the story of how she met his father. The series will transport audiences to the year 2021, where Sophie’s journey begins. Along with her group of friends – Jesse (Chris Lowell), Valentina (Francia Raisa), Charlie (Tom Ainsley), Ellen (Tien Tran), and Sid (Suraj Sharma). The group is on a journey navigating life as Millennials, figuring out who they are, and how to find love during the age of dating apps.

WHO IS KIM CATTRALL?

Cattrall is best known for her iconic role as Samantha Jones in the hit HBO series, Sex and the City”. Which she earned 5 Emmy Award Nominations. She most recently starred in the Fox drama, Filthy Rich and the CBS All Access series, Tell Me a Story. Some of my personal favorite Cattrall roles are from Big Trouble, Little China, and Mannequin.

Behind How I Met Your Father is co-showrunners and co-creators, Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. Who are also the masterminds behind This is Us and Hulu’s Love, Victor. But don’t worry, How I Met Your Mother creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are also onboard. As well as Pam Fryman who will direct the pilot. Duff, in addition to starring, will also be a producer on the show.
