Universal Pictures with Illumination have dropped a new trailer today for the anticipated hit Sing 2, and boy does it hit you in the feels. The sequel to the 2016 success of Sing, we are back for a bigger and better show! Set to premiere just in time for the Holiday season in December, the trailer did not disappoint with the heartwarming moments. Peek down below and watch it for yourself. (And enjoy some U2, too.)

Things are getting good for the crew in Sing 2. We see our favorite singing porcupine Ash doing a rendition of U2’s famous song “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For”. As the song plays, we get a snippet of the rest of the stars and the challenges that await them. A lot of focus is on finding the courage and strength to follow one’s dreams.

In the first movie we saw Buster Moon, the ambitious Koala, try and save his theater from closing. To do so he offers a talent competition. Through mishaps and misfortune, the show still goes on and Buster saves his theater. Now in Sing 2, his sights are set on bigger and better things, such as playing at the Crystal Tower Theatre. Only problem is, they have no connections and no way of sealing the deal… That is, until Buster comes up with a plan. He offers to get Clay Calloway to play with them. But Clay has locked himself away for the last 15 years refusing to play. Not to mention that Buster has never actually met him. Now that the conflict is set up, we will have to wait and see how they get out of this mess and play the show of a lifetime.

Just like Sing, Sing 2 is written and directed by Garth Jennings. Set to return for Sing 2 are Matthew McConaughey, Scarlett Johansson, Reese Witherspoon, and Taron Egerton. Joining them are Bono, Halsey, Pharrell Williams, and Bobby Cannavale. With such a star studded cast, and classical songs, we know this will be a toe-tapping hit.
