Tiger King. You thought you’d seen it all… but this wild true-life tale is ready to sink its claws into you once more.
Tiger King 2 is headed to streaming in November. The additional 5 episodes will continue the incredible story of Joe Exotic, Carole Baskin, and the now infamous Oklahoma exotic animal zoo.
Get your first look at the next chapter below.
Tiger King quickly became a cultural phenomenon when it was released on Netflix. Essentially it’s a docu-series about a shady exotic animal zoo. But the wild twists and turns of the story—which include hiring a hit on a rival zoo owner, alligator arson, a love triangle, a sex cult, and maybe feeding someone to tigers, just to name a few highlights—kept people around the world addicted and hitting “play” on the next chapter.
The conclusion of the original docu-series ended with Joe Exotic behind bars and Carole Baskin closing in on ownership of his disreputable zoo. But the events of Tiger King—no matter how insane they seem—are real, and you can’t always wrap up real life so neatly. The sequel will dive into even more murder, mayhem, and madness.
As Joe promises ominously in the trailer, “If I have to make a deal with the devil, I will make a deal with the devil.”
(Also, give whoever scored the trailer with “Maybe This Time” from Cabaret a raise. Iconic.)
Tiger King 2 will feature Joe and Carole, as well as Jeff Lowe, Tim Stark, Allen Glover, and James Garretson.
You can stream Tiger King 2 on Netflix November 17.
