It looks like One Piece is soon going to reach a very important milestone. I mean, come on. How many shows can say that they have reached 1000 episodes?

I pity the fans trying to catch up to the anime by now.

Toei Animation and Funimation are proud to announce that One Piece will soon reach its 1000th episode, starting with that teaser above. Apparently, we’ll see this historic milestone episode on November 20, 2021. This episode will stream on that day on Funimation for fans in the US and Canada, and also on Funimation in Australia and New Zealand on their respective schedules. If you live in Germany or Russia though, then you can watch it on Wakanim.

A veritable clash of titans…and dinosaurs, dragons, reindeer, etc..

That 1000th episode isn’t all though. Toei Animation and Funimation will also have a live virtual event happening on the same day the episode streams on Funimation. YouTuber RogersBase will host this event on November 20, 2021, at 3:00 PST. As that tidbit suggests, you can see this event on the YouTube channels of Toei Animation and Funimation. You can also catch it on the official One Piece Facebook page.

“The 1000th episode of ‘One Piece’ is truly a history-making moment not only for the franchise, but also for the millions of fans around the world that have supported the series over the last 22 years. We’re excited to mark this major milestone for ‘One Piece’ and look forward to celebrating it together with fans at our special global livestream event on November 20.”

Masayuki Endo, President and CEO of Toei Animation Inc.

You might be wondering what this event will be like? Well, apparently, the event will feature free streaming of One Piece episodes 998 and 999 just to provide a bit of context for episode 1000. During the event, there will also be prize giveaways, fan-made videos, and more. How much more and what that “more” will consist of is something we’ll find out on November 20.

Conclusion
