Halloween fast approaches, and you know what that means. It’s time to get spooky. And what better way than with a new look at The Munsters?
Filmmaker Rob Zombie shared a first look at the cast on set today. You can spot Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, and Dan Roebuck as Grandpa Munster. Of course, they’re hanging out in front of their very atmospheric mansion.
Zombie’s post reads, “Since Halloween is rapidly approaching I thought it was the perfect time to MEET THE MUNSTERS! Direct from the set in good old Hungary I present Herman, Lily and The Count sitting in front of the newly completed 1313 Mockingbird Lane.”
Earlier this year, Universal announced it would bring back The Munsters as a feature film with Rob Zombie set to direct. The characters originated on a 60s sitcom of the same name. The series followed a family of monsters who relocate from Transylvania to the American suburbs.
In addition to Phillips, Sheri Moon Zombie, and Roebuck, the film will also feature Jorge Garcia, Richard Brake, and Cassandra Peterson (aka Elvira).
While this latest image drop appears to be the first featuring the core cast in costume with the mansion, Zombie has been sharing peeks into the production process on social media for a while now. Check out some of his other posts below to go behind-the-scenes of The Munsters’ special effects and costume design.
