Hello everyone, your friendly neighborhood Professor Hulk here. I’m about to drop some knowledge on some exciting stuff going on in the film and TV world. Last week we shared with you details on Donkey Kong. This week, we’re talking about Star Wars!
Recently we shared news about a re-imagining of the Original Trilogy and the response was divisive to say the least. Many people think that Lucasfilm and Disney need to take Star Wars in a new direction. Personally with projects like The Mandalorian, The Acolyte, The Book of Boba Fett, and others; I personally think that Star Wars is currently a good balance of the old and new.
That said, I went to my sources and told them I needed news on something big, exciting, and new. I can exclusively share that a Disney+ series is in early development. It will focus on a force-sensitive Bounty Hunter who represses and hides her force abilities. However, when a target escapes and informs the empire of her abilities, the Inquisitors are sent to track and destroy her. The Inquisitors have fought Jedi, but have they fought a Bounty Hunter with raw force power? I think not!
The Details On Inquisitors, The Bounty Hunter, And More
Now I only got to see some early concept art. It’s in early development, so some plot elements may change. However, from what I saw this looked to be a visually interesting and vibrant show. Unlike The Mandalorian, this seemed to have much more visual diversity. The outfit this bounty hunter wore was white with some red and black accents with a dome helmet. After discussing this with The Den of Nerds, they suggested that this could in fact be Omega, a character from The Bad Batch. While I’m not able to confirm at this time, there is certainly a possibility of this being the case.
Speaking of The Mandalorian, I asked the question I’m sure many will ask and that’s, isn’t this the same as The Mandalorian? I was assured that this will be a bit grittier and more intense. The Mandalorian was toned down for kids, and while this series won’t be age-restricted, it will certainly be more geared towards teens and adults. Also, merging the force powers with a bounty hunter will ensure that there’s more use of force powers than in Mandalorian.
The show is still in the early stages of development, but it’s said that The Inquisitors will start to play a prominent role in Star Wars, in particular the Disney+ series, moving forward. Between their roles in other series and this show, it seems like we’re poised to see more of their efforts to hunt down and destroy force-sensitive individuals in the Star Wars universe.
