It looks like the 90s are in style again. Netflix is giving a series order to That 90s Show. Red Forman and Kitty Forman anchor the show played by their original actors, Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp. Also returning is That 70s Show creators Gregg Mettler, Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner, and Lindsay Turner.

The show follows the Forman family in 1995, with Leia Forman, the daughter of Eric (Topher Grace) and Donna (Laura Prepon) visiting her grandparents in the summer. Point Place stays the same, while the decades change. There are no deals in place for other That 70s Show actors to reprise their roles, but one can guess that they’ll show up for guest appearances.

The show has a 10 episode order from Netflix. That 70s Show was among the most viewed series when it was on Netflix before it left in September 2020. The original show aired from 1998-2006, and a different spinoff was tried with That 80s Show, but it was much less successful.

This series brings the focus back to Wisconsin and the Forman family. There’s no other news on when it starts production or when it’ll be released.
