Remember how tragically glorious/gloriously tragic RWBY Vol. 8 was? Well, now Rooster Teeth will bring it all to home video.

Rooster Teeth is proud to announce that they’re working with Warner Bros. Home Entertainment to bring RWBY Vol. 8 to Blu-ray and digital download. Also reported by CBR a while ago, both versions will be available on November 23, 2021 for $24.98 USD or $29.98 CAD, with order dates due by October 12, 2021. Both versions will feature English audio with English or French subtitles only. Why only those 2 subtitle options? Well, I have no idea, and Rooster Teeth doesn’t have an explanation. If you don’t speak either English or French, well, you might want to hold off on this for now.

Both the Blu-ray and digital versions of RWBY Vol. 8 will contain all 14 episodes of this 8th season of RWBY, including the landmark 100th episode “Witch”. Both versions will also feature the same special features, which includes:

  • RWBY at RTX (Panel) – RWBY talent takes the stage at RTX for an in-depth chat between showrunner Kerry Shawcross, co-creator and writer Miles Luna, writing supervisor Eddy Rivas, lead producer Laura Yates, Lindsay Jones (voice of Ruby Rose), Barbara Dunkelman (voice of Yang Xiao Long), Kara Eberle (voice of Weiss Schnee) and Arryn Zech (voice of Blake Belladonna).
  • CRWBY Faces (video) – A fun behind-the-scenes look at more than 100 of the 150+ individuals responsible for the production of RWBY.
  • RWBY at Sundance Film Festival (Panel) – Discussion amongst RWBY talent at the famed Sundance Film Festival. Featured panelists were showrunner Kerry Shawcross, co-creator and writer Miles Luna, Lindsay Jones (voice of Ruby Rose), Barbara Dunkelman (voice of Yang Xiao Long), Rooster Teeth co-founder Matt Hullum, co-head of Rooster Teeth Animation Joe Clary and moderator Julia Alexander, a reporter at the Verge, Internet Creators and Entertainment.
  • Talk CRWBY to Me (Podcast) – A popular RWBY podcast recorded during 2020 and hosted by showrunner Kerry Shawcross.
  • Grimm Campaign (a game of Dungeons and Dragons) – Set in the expansive world of Remnant, the RWBY Crew members embody Hunter & Huntress avatars to take on the terrifying forces of wild Grimm. Featuring Eddy Rivas as Headmaster, Chad James as Asher Mora, Kerry Shawcross as Pyke Rite, Laura Yates as Arrastra Skye, and Chris Kokkinos as Fenix Nemean.

Plus, the Blu-ray version of RWBY Vol. 8 will come with a special bonus. At least, for the first 20,000 buyers only. Those lucky fans will get a pack of limited edition RWBY/Justice League art cards. Each pack contains 10 collectible cards that feature the cover or variant from the RWBY/Justice League comics released by DC earlier in 2021. So if any of you want these cards, you might want to hurry up and get them before they’re gone.

Rooster Teeth is working together with Warner Bros. Home Entertainment to bring you RWBY Vol. 8 on Blu-ray and digital download. Both versions of this anime-esque show will release on November 23, 2021. The first 20,000 buyers will also get trading cards featuring the RWBY/Justice League crossover comic book. Unfortunately, no one appears to be accepting preorders at the time of this writing. We’ll just have to wait for later to see how they’ll sell this.
