The Sexy and Sassy period drama is returning soon. During Netflix’s TUDUM event some of the cast spilled the high tea on what’s coming soon in Season 2!

Not your Grandma’s Period Drama!

The second season is going to focus on The Viscount Who Loved Me, the story by author Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton book series. Simone Ashley who will be playing Kate Sharma mentions that upon her casting Mindy Kaling reached out to give her KUDOS on Twitter.

What really sets this show apart from others is the representation. We’re not getting a whitewashed version of Victorian England. With the addition of a third family into the mix it will really change the social dynamics you’ll see on screen.

The other thing that makes the show set apart is the excellent use of music. Choosing to take modern songs and give them a Victorian flair makes the show a must-watch to hear who’s the who’s who of high musical society.

Who will Lady Whistledown pen about next in her popular gossip column? PLUS there is also the Lord Fehertington debacle that is a NETFLIX original storyline.

With the show already greenlit for seasons 3 and 4. If the hype train keeps going we might be able to 7 or 8 seasons to follow alongside the book series.
