Did you know The Muppets have NEVER had a Halloween special before? But don’t worry, that terrible wrong is about to be righted this October.

Yes, The Muppets are getting spooky, and they’re doing it in one of Disney’s most iconic haunts. Get ready for Muppets Haunted Mansion.

In Muppets Haunted Mansion, the Great Gonzo – world famous daredevil artiste – has done it all, seen it all, and survived it all. But on Halloween night, the fearless Gonzo takes on the greatest challenge of his life by spending one very daring night in the most grim grinning place on Earth …The Haunted Mansion.

This trailer really shows the perfect simplicity of the special’s premise. I mean, of course we deserve a Halloween Muppets special. And of course the Haunted Mansion is the perfect locale for such a special. The laughs and energy in this trailer already have me thinking this will become a staple of Halloween binges to come.

Muppets Haunted Mansion cast

In addition to hosting all your favorite Muppets, this special will include appearances from iconic actors as some of the mansion’s most memorable ghosts. Look out for Will Arnett (as The Ghost Host), Yvette Nicole Brown (as The Hearse Driver), Darren Criss (as The Caretaker), and Taraji P. Henson (as The Bride). You’ll also catch a glimpse of Chrissy Metz (as Harriet), Alfonso Ribeiro (as Fred), Edward Asner (as Claude), Jeannie Mai (as Maude), Danny Trejo (as Huet), Sasheer Zamata (as Mary), Craig Robinson (as Bust), Skai Jackson (as Bust), Pat Sajak (as Bust), Geoff Keighley (as Bust), Justina Machado (as Bust), and Kim Irvine (as Haunted Mansion Maid). Oh, and John Stamos (as himself).

The special will also include three new original songs, plus a cover of “Dancing in the Moonlight.”

Muppets Haunted Mansion premieres Friday, October 8 exclusively on Disney+.
