Robert Jordan fans, your wait to see Amazon’s Wheel of Time on screen is almost over.
The Amazon Prime series adapts the popular fantasy novels by Jordan, set in a world where only certain women can access magic. The first episodes of the series arrive in November, but today we got our first real look at the show. Catch a glimpse at all the fantasy action in store with the trailer below.
Wheel of Time follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.
The series comes from showrunner/executive producer Rafe Judkins. Uta Briesewitz also serves as an executive producer, as well as the director of the first two episodes. In addition to playing the lead role, Pike produces the show.
The first three episodes of season 1 will premiere on Friday, November 19. After that, new episodes will air weekly on Fridays until the season finale on December 24.
(And you can expect even more Wheel of Time after that. Amazon already renewed the show for season 2.)
