As a Star Wars fan and collector there is nothing more frustrating than seeing repacks and variants of the same figure over and over. If you are a Hasbro The Black Series collector you know just what I mean. From Boba Fett to The Mandalorian we have gotten all kinds of variants. Carbonized, First Edition, Anniversary, Deluxe, and more, it just at times seems like it is the same character over and over. Well, Hasbro it is time to listen we want something new and since Droids play a huge part in the Star Wars universe, I think we should take a look at the Top 10 Droids that we need now in The Black Series lineup.

Top 10 The Black Series Droids We Need Now!

10. AP-5

Ok AP-5 may be a little annoying to some but you got to admit he did help the Ghost Crew quit a bit. This defected Imperial Droid may always be grumpy, but that grumpy sense of humor (or lack of) is what made him grow on me.

9. MagnaGuard IG-100 Droids

This IG-100 droid was a favored bodyguard by not only General Grievous but many Separatist leaders as well. The MagnaGuard also was able to fight after losing an arm or even their head. Armed with rocket launchers and laser darts the MagnaGuard also had electrostaffs that could block lightsabers.

8. EV-9D9

EV-9D9 was first seen in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi as a torture droid. But it seems after becoming unemployed after the death of Jabba the Hutt he was seen again in The Mandalorian as a bartender in the Mos Eisley Cantina.

7. 2-1B

6 Seen in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back 2-1b was the medical droid that helped heal and kept a watch on Luke Skywalker in the bacta tank. He also helped Luke with his new hand. So he was good enough to help Luke but not good enough for a The Black Series figure.

6. Ferry Droid

Ok, this droid didn’t get a lot of screen time but you have to admit that the Ferry Droid from The Mandalorian would make a kick-ass figure.

5. Homing Spider Droids

Ok, I know this figure would be a little big but it would look so cool in a collection. The Homing Spider Droid with its powerful dish-shape laser gave republic forces a hell of a fight during the Battle of Geonosis

4. Super Battle Droids

Ok, how do we not have any Super Drid The Black Series figures? These droids had no issues going into combat and had more firepower than the regular battle droids. Not to mention these droids are pretty cool looking, who would not want o army of them in their collection?

3. Mr. Bones

This B1-series Battle Droid with a “killer” personality would look good in any Star Wars collection. Built by Temmin Wexley Bones served as his Body Guard and loyal companion. With his black and red color and his E-5 blaster rifle, Mr. Bones needs to come to The Black Series lineup soon!

2. Droideka

The Droideka easily could have been my number one pick and it took me some time to decide. These droids not only came with twin blasters, but they could also move fast when rolling to battle and came with deflector shields. You have to agree that a few of these need to go in every The Black Series collection.

1. Dark Trooper

How could the Drak Trooper not be my number one pick? These advanced Battle Droids were not only equipped with jet boosters they were practically indestructible. Yeah, Mando was able to take one out but we all know it took a Jedi to destroy them all. But the good news is we might not have to wait long for this one. There have been rumors that we will see the Dark Trooper as an Deluxe The Black series figure next year!
