With Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 giving us such an amazing season finale many fans can not wait for season 3 to begin. Unfountly waiting is what we are going to have to do. With reports that The Mandalorian Season 3 is starting to shoot in September, we will more than likely not see the new season until late 2022. With that being said, it also looks like this upcoming series may be the last for The Mandalorian series.

Will Season 3 be the last for The Mandalorian?

Now before I go any further on this please remember to take all this with a grain of salt. None of this information has been confirmed by Disney. According to a tweet from @StarWarsOnly2, it seems that The Mandalorian season 3 will be the last of this hit Disney+ series.

“Star Wars The Mandalorian will end on its 3rd season!” @StarWarsOnly2 also goes on to say, “This doesn’t mean the story is over in anyway, but the series is coming to an end with this next season I’m told. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will continue this through series like Ahsoka and Rangers of the New Republic is my prediction.”

This might not be a bad this if it is true, right? I mean we know Grogu is off training with Luke Skywalker and with actor Gina Carano, who played a big part in the series now gone, it makes sense to focus this season on maybe the Darksaber and the leadership of Mandalore. Or if not that it could possibly be a lead-in for the Ahsoka series. Of course, this is all speculation, but that is part of what makes Star Wars fun, guessing what happens next.
