In case you missed it, there’s a trailer out for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Outside of Star Wars: The Force Awakens or Avengers: Endgame, this might have been the most anticipated trailer of all-time. If you haven’t watched it yet, go check it out here. The official trailer got 355.5 million views in 24-hours. Which absolutely shattered the record for views from Avengers: Endgame with 298 million views. For more reference, the trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home hit 135 million views at the 24-hour mark.
The social media mentions for the trailer were off the charts as well, garnering 4.5 million mentions after 24-hours. The lucky few at Sony’s CinemaCon presentation got to see the trailer early. There was an issue with leaks involving the trailer that Marvel and Sony stamped down pretty well. Plus, who wants to see a trailer of this magnitude in 144p from some loser leaking it? No one.
The trailer was truly awesome, showing off a new look for Doctor Strange, and giving us a tease of what’s to come with villains like Doc Ock, Green Goblin, and more showing up or being teased in the trailer. It looks like this might be the most consequential Marvel film yet. We’ll have to see when it comes out though. Spider-Man: No Way Home releases in theaters on December 17th, 2021.
