Just Beyond is a new Disney+ anthology show coming from R.L. Stine‘s comic book series of the same name, this Fall. The eight-episode series stars McKenna Grace and comes from showrunner Seth Grahame-Smith. Check out the images released for the show below.
The show sits somewhere between Goosebumps and Fear Street on the horror scale. So it’ll be good for kids and adults to watch. Stine is co-executive producing the show with Marc Webb directing the first two episodes. Here’s what Stine had to say in the press release:
Back in the day, we had a Goosebumps HorrorLand attraction at Walt Disney World. It was one of the thrills of my life. Now I’m thrilled to be back with Disney for the TV series based on my graphic novels. Writing Just Beyond for BOOM! Studios has been a joy from the beginning, and I’m so happy to have the wonderful screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith bring the series to life on Disney+. How lucky can I be?
It’s nearing that spooky time of year, so we all need content for horror fans out there, big and small. Just Beyond is looking like that perfect balance to get people into the genre, without scaring them too much. We’ll have to see when the show releases on Disney+ this Fall.
