We’re at the halfway point with this new volume of Critical Role Vox Machina Origins.
Issues 1 and 2 were the perfect lead-in issues for this new volume. And Issue #3 continues the story in a really fun way.
(Minor Spoilers For Issue #3)
So within this issue, we get to see Winter’s Crest- or at least we were hoping to see Winter’s Crest. When your celebration gets interrupted by a creature frozen in ice for who knows how long, things will end up getting frosty.
The team- being one member down- jumps through the ice to chase after this creature. But they do get more than they bargained for when chasing this creature requires they running through a very long cavern. Once out of the cavern, the team then meets face to face once again with this creature, but this time we see the creature’s true form.
(End Of Minor Spoilers For Issue #3)
This issue is probably my favorite one out of the 3 so far. It’s fun, a little silly, but we get to see what makes this team of second-rate, drunken adventurers work together. Obviously with Issue #4 out in November, it will continue where this issue left off, and I can’t wait to see what happens in that issue’s battle.
