Y: The Last Man ~ Details
So what is Y: The Last Man about? Well, the basic premise is simple: imagine a world where one day, every male just suddenly drops dead. Not just every male human. Every male mammal on the planet, period. Yeah, imagine the cataclysmic effects on society this would have. But, there is a ray of hope. A man named Yorick and his pet Capuchin monkey named Ampersand are the only 2 male mammals left alive on the planet. They could hold the key to saving humanity, but now they just have to stay alive long enough to do it. The trailer description gives more info:
Based on DC Comics’ acclaimed series by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, Y: The Last Man traverses a post-apocalyptic world in which a cataclysmic event decimates every mammal with a Y chromosome but for one cisgender man and his pet monkey. The series follows the survivors in this new world as they struggle with their efforts to restore what was lost and the opportunity to build something better.
