The Lord of the Rings returns to screens with a new Amazon Prime series. The highly anticipated series from Amazon is coming next year, September 2nd, 2022. It has yet to get a title, but the series completed filming today in New Zealand. For the first time on screen, J.R.R. Tolkien‘s Second Age of Middle-earth comes to life. Set thousands of years before The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the series follows characters new and old as they confront a new evil in Middle-earth.
The cast includes: Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, Daniel Weyman, and Sara Zwangobani.
