Star Trek fans were treated to not one, but two sneak peeks today during SDCC’s Comic-Con@Home.
The previews included the first trailer for Star Trek: Prodigy, the first series in the franchise aimed at younger audiences. The show follows a motley crew of young aliens who must figure out how to work together while navigating a greater galaxy, in search for a better future. These six young outcasts know nothing about the ship they have commandeered – a first in the history of the Star Trek franchise – but over the course of their adventures together, they will each be introduced to Starfleet and the ideals it represents.

The trailer debuted as part of Paramount+’s Comic-Con@Home “Peak” Animation panel. So, fans also got a look at another Star Trek property – the upcoming second season of the adult animated comedy Lower Decks.

Star Trek: Lower Decks focuses on the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the U.S.S. Cerritos. It follows the (mis)adventures of the crew balancing their duties and social lives while dealing with a number of sci-fi anomalies.
