Would you follow your hero over the edge of a cliff?

No, this isn’t some extraordinarily extreme version of hero worship. (Well, not exactly.) It’s a little more mundane when your day job is being a professional stuntman.

In the new Disney+ documentary Stuntman, follow the legendary Eddie Braun as he attempts one of the most dangerous stunts in history. Check it out in the trailer below:

“The law of averages is you’re gonna get taken out,” cautions the trailer. But despite the fact that attempting the Snake River Canyon rocket jump almost killed famed daredevil Evel Knievel, Braun’s ready to go for it anyways. Stuntman follows Braun as he contemplates retirement after three decades of stunt work, only to decide to attempt the jump his hero never managed.

Stuntman comes from executive producers Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Brian Gewirtz from Seven Bucks Productions. Evel Knievel’s daughter Kelly Knievel also serves as an executive producer. Kurt Mattila directed and edited the feature documentary. It features music by Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.
