Indiana Jones 5 is in production and it has a new star on it’s cast. Deadline is reporting that Antonio Banderas has joined the cast of the upcoming installment. He joins a cast headlined by Harrison Ford. Others in the movie include: Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renee Wilson. James Mangold is directing, instead of Steven Spielberg. Finally, John Williams is back to provide the score for the film.
Production is underway and the film releases in theaters July 29th, 2022.
There’s no details on what character Banderas is playing or really any plot details in general.
For now, all we know is the cast, and the crew. Banderas recently played a villain in The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard and also finished on Uncharted with Tom Holland and Marc Wahlberg.
We’ll have to see when we get more details about the film in the coming months.
