As a huge fan of Jason Momoa, ever since Game of Thrones (of course)… I am always down to see a film that he stars in. The actor, despite being a big name, doesn’t seem to take on that many roles. He is the definition of a charismatic leading action hero to me, so his presence here definitely piques my interest. I was also very impressed with Isabella Merced in Dora and the Lost City of Gold (which was way better than it had any right to be). So, even though this looks a bit like a straight-forward thriller, the addition of timely social issues with big pharma, matched with the cast… makes it feel like Sweet Girl should be a hit for Netflix.

Sweet Girl will be streaming on Netflix Friday, August 20th.
