We already know season 3 of Amazon’s The Boys will focus a lot on Soldier Boy and his team Payback. But now we’re getting a closer look at even more new faces joining the series.
Entertainment Weekly reported three additional stars will appear in season 3: Sean Patrick Flannery, Nick Wechsler, and Miles Gaston Villanueva. And even more exciting? Each of the actors will play a character created for the series. Yup, these original characters aren’t from the original comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
So, let’s take a look at what we know about the three newcomers. (And see what we can guess, too.)
Flannery will play “Gunpowder.” Based on that super name, he might be some kind of weapons expert. (Or maybe he just has an explosive temper?)
Wechsler will play “Blue Hawk.” So, some kind of flying ability seems like a given.
Villaneuva will play “Supersonic.” That name could lend itself to a couple different powers. He could be some kind of speedster – a classic “faster than the speed of sound” type. Or maybe he breaks the sound barrier with a scream à la Black Canary.
Again, these characters will debut as TV The Boys originals. So we’re just left guessing until the series returns (or Amazon shares more details). Hopefully we’ll at least get a glimpse of everyone’s super suits ahead of the official premiere.
