Looks like Jai Courtney has some explaining to do about the new The Suicide Squad trailer leaking. In an unlisted video on YouTube, the actor explained that no one was watching, so it’s okay to show us this. What we ended up getting was a full length trailer for the film, and likely the final one until it’s August 6th release date.

The new trailer gave us some new footage and decent looks at the characters. We did get another look at King Shark plus some more character backstory for Idris Elba‘s Bloodsport. Finally, Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) looks absolutely unhinged here, so it’s good to see that side of her character return. There are some real stakes here. We also learned that the mission this time around is to stop Project Starfish, which Peacemaker had an interesting question about.

Either way, James Gunn already has us hooked with this new film. You can check out The Suicide Squad when it releases in theaters and on HBO Max on August 6th.
