The Walt Disney Company just reached a big milestone for the Disney Parks & Resorts division. For the first time in over seventeen months, all Disney parks worldwide are now open! Disneyland Paris remained as the only park not yet open, but that changed with it’s grand re-opening celebration with cast members and guests.

Making the global reopening all the more enticing, the Disney Parks added a new attraction, “Cars Road Trip,” for guests to visit at the now fully-accessible resort. Disney also made another announcement for the grand opening: “Disney Junior Dream Factory” will begin holding performances on July 1st, 2021! Also, coming up really soon will be the brand new Disney’s New York Hotel: The Art of Marvel. To recap what’s ahead, click HERE.

In a statement released by Disney Parks, Products and Experience Chairman, Josh D’Amaro reflected on the company’s past and looking ahead:

“To our guests and fans … thank you for supporting and standing by us. We’re honored that you’ve stuck with us through a very difficult time, and I’m moved by the imaginative ways you’ve kept the Disney magic alive in your own families and communities during our closures. Seeing you back in our parks and resorts has been amazing.

To our cast members, crew members, Imagineers and employees … thank you for persevering and keeping the faith, from work and from home. You’re the heartbeat of all that we do, and the true source of Disney magic. I love seeing you, and saying hello and catching up.”

Conclusion

It’s hard to imagine that the parks have been closed for so long as the company dealt with the difficult challenges in battling the pandemic. As the world looks ahead to heal itself, there is still plenty of work left to do. As Walt Disney famously once said, “We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” For all of the cast members returning back to work: it’s good to see you back.
