Loki Wednesday proved even bigger than expected. Now, Disney+ plans to move all their premieres to midweek dates.

Previously, new shows on Disney+ dropped on Fridays; the streamer premiered its other Marvel hits WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier at the end of the week. But they decided to mix things up with Loki, which premiered last Wednesday, June 9.

Apparently, the day shift worked so well, Disney+ will make Wednesday the new premiere day of the week for ALL its upcoming original shows. (Note: original films will still drop on Fridays.)

Loki proved to be Disney+’s most watched premiere. Personally, I would have assumed this happened because it’s a series about a fan-favorite character. Plus, the fact that Disney+ already built up their Marvel fanbase following the success of WandaVision and Falcon. But hey, Disney’s the one with the numbers, so if they say Wednesday actually cracked the code, who am I to disagree?

New Disney+ shows will start premiering on Wednesdays starting July 1. You can find a list of known premiere dates shifting from Friday to Wednesday below.
