Square Enix is expanding the Marvel brand once again. During their E3′ showcase and have announced the next title for Guardians of the Galaxy and also an expansion with the King of Wakanda, T’Challa.

Prior the announcement, as Guardians was leaked out back in 2017. Square Enix’s division by Eidos-Montreal is developing the game. As this will be a single player, third person-adventure game in partnership with Marvel. This take of the defenders of the galaxy will draw inspiration from the movies’ and comics. However, this will be a different take of the gang and “not a film adaptation” being recreated. Chris Pratt, Dave Batista, Zoe Saldana and won’t be reprising their roles.

In a interview with Polygon, Peter Quill is the decision maker and this will be around team mechanics that players will control. Quill leads different strategies and combine tactical abilities with rest of the Guardians. Guardians of the Galaxy is set to release on October 26th for your platform of choice.

Wakanda Forever

Earlier this year as both Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics announced an expansion for a Black Panther expansion. As T’Challa you will have to defend his kingdom from the vibranium thief, Klaw that was portrayed by Andy Serkis in the MCU. The Avengers will help out T’Challa from Klaw and his invasion of his minions.

This next expansion will mark the studio’s third hero from the recent released of Kate Bishop and Clint Barton. Spider-Man will be a PlayStation exclusive for the game for owners.

The expansion for Marvel’s The Avengers: War for Wakanda releases in August. Coming to Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
