The modern cult classic, House of Wax, is getting a brand new collector’s edition from Scream Factory. The release, featuring a new 2K scan of the interpositive, comes with new bonus features including interviews with Paris Hilton, Robert Ri’Chard, composer John Ottman, and makeup effects artist Jason Baird. If you order directly from Shout! Factory, you get an exclusive poster featuring brand-new artwork. (While supplies last).

Dark Castle Entertainment brought us the surprisingly good House of Wax in 2005. The film from producers Joel Silver and Robert Zemeckis features a fantastic cast. Elisha Cuthbert highlights the cast alongside Chad Michael Murray, Paris Hilton, Brian Van Holt, Jared Padalecki, Jon Abrahams, and Robert Ri’Chard.

The synopsis goes like this, it’s based loosely on the classic Vincent Price film:

When their car breaks down on a road trip, six college friends are sidetracked into an eerie backwoods town. Curiosity gets the better of them when they are intrigued by its macabre House of Wax. They soon find out that the town is not what it seems, and that they must find their way out before they fall victim to its ghoulishly inventive killers.
