We haven’t had a first official look at anything involving the upcoming The Flash movie, but this is pretty close. The film, which is bringing back Michael Keaton as Batman, had a small tease. Director Andy Muschietti showed off the logo for the batsuit used in the upcoming film. As you can see, it’s similar to the Batman Returns symbol, but this time includes some blood spatter.
Michael Keaton was confirmed for the role after a long rumor period. The film started production in April and is heavily inspired by the Flashpoint storyline. It sees The Flash travel back in time to save his mother, but he ends up creating an alternate timeline that screws with his own reality. In the movie, this timeline brings back the classic Keaton Batman. Ben Affleck‘s Batman will also make an appearance.
Ezra Miller stars as The Flash. The rest of the cast includes Sasha Calle, Kiersey Clemons, Maribel Verdu, and Ron Livingston. It’s one of the most anticipated DC Universe films. It’s part of DC‘s new slate of films that includes The Batman, Blue Beetle, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Black Adam, The Suicide Squad, Zatanna, and more.
