Does anyone remember the Crysis trilogy of first-person shooter games from the 2000s and early 2010s? You know, the one where you wear a high-tech nanosuit? Turns out, that the whole trilogy is getting a remaster for next-gen consoles. In fact, they’ve now revealed a teaser trailer for it.

Ah, the memories.

This Crysis Remastered Trilogy teaser trailer on YouTube shows off the rather impressive new graphics Crytek made for the remastered version of the games. This makes perfect sense since, you know, this is supposed to be a remaster for the current and next-generation consoles. The remaster is for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch; so you can see why they want to show off those graphics.

Unfortunately, the teaser trailer for the Crysis Remastered Trilogy doesn’t give us a release date. All the video itself tells us is that the game is “Coming Soon”. Fortunately, the description does tell us that the game is coming this fall in 2021. Unfortunately, though, that’s about as specific as it gets. We’re just going to have to wait for later to get any more official info out of Crytek.

Crysis: The Remastered Conflict

So quality. Much detail.

For those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about: Crysis is a series of science fiction first-person shooter games Crytek made starting with the first game in 2007. The games feature you playing as a supersoldier in a high-tech nanosuit fitted out with a bunch of cool technology. The first game features you trying to liberate a remote Pacific island from, wait for it, North Korean invaders. Yeah, it doesn’t make much sense either. At least, not until you start fighting aliens instead of North Koreans. Oh dear, did I forget to mention the aliens? The ones that become the true antagonists for the next 2 games?

Ceph Hunter from the first Crysis game.
With freeze rays to boot.

Yeah, good times in Crysis, And now, we’ll get to see what it all looks like in high-quality graphics. Maybe even 4k too if you own a legendary PS5 or Xbox Series S/X.

Conclusion

The Crysis trilogy of games is getting a remaster from Crytek, and we now have the teaser trailer for it. We don’t know when the game will launch aside from a vague Fall 2021. Although, we know it’s coming for the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch; so you can expect some pretty good graphics.
