On again? Off again? We’ll have to wait and see. But we know this for sure: Chris Noth will reprise his role as “Mr. Big” in HBO Max’s upcoming Sex and the City series.

The new show, titled And Just Like That… follows Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.

Noth played Mr. Big throughout the original run of Sex and the City as Carrie’s on-again, off-again love interest. He earned his first Golden Globe nomination for the role.

“I’m thrilled to be working with Chris again on ‘And Just Like That…’ “ said executive producer Michael Patrick King. “How could we ever do a new chapter of the ‘Sex And The City’ story without our Mr. Big?”

(A good sentiment, but I’m sure fans will point out the series apparently has no problem moving forward without Kim Cattrall’s Samantha.)

Noth also played Mr. Big in the films Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis will reprise their roles for the new series. And Just Like That… also recently announced Sara Ramírez would join the core cast.

The ten-episode, half hour series plans to begin production in New York this summer.

So, are you excited to see Mr. Big’s return? Let us know in the comments.
