We’re getting another peek into the cast of Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Star Wars Disney+ series just added Maya Erskine.
Erskine will have a supporting role in at least three episodes according to Deadline.
Erskine is known for her previous work on HBO’s Insecure, as well as Scoob! She’s also the co-creator and star of Hulu’s PEN15. She received multiple WGA Awards and a 2019 Emmy for the comedy.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will see the return of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan, as well as Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. The Star Wars show also announced a bunch of others in yet undisclosed roles, including Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
The series is currently in production. We even got a glimpse of the set earlier this year. However, plot details largely remain under wraps. We do know Obi-Wan Kenobi takes place a decade after Revenge of the Sith and nine years before A New Hope.
So, what do you think about Erskine joining the cast? Want to speculate about her role? Head to the comments and drop your Obi-Wan theories!
