Emilia Clarke is in final negotiations to join the upcoming Marvel series, Secret Invasion. The series was revealed at the Disney Investor’s Meeting late last year. Her role is undetermined at this point but she’ll be joined by Olivia Colman, Ben Mendelsohn, and Samuel L. Jackson. Kingsley Ben-Adir is playing the villain of the series. Variety had the news.

The show should be a hybrid or introduction of the “Secret Wars” storyline that Marvel had in their comics. In that storyline, the shape-shifting race, the Skrulls, infiltrates Earth and impersonates their superheroes and chain of command. Obviously this is huge news for Marvel, as Clarke has been in a staggering amount of properties in her career. Her biggest, and most influential being Game of Thrones. She also appeared in Terminator: Genesys and Solo: A Star Wars Story. The show doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s written by Kyle Bradstreet.
