Academy Award winner Olivia Colman might be the next face to join the MCU.

The Hollywood Reporter says Colman is currently in final talks to appear in the Disney+ series Secret Invasion opposite Samuel L. Jackson.

Secret Invasion follows the events of Captain Marvel. The series focused on Jackson’s Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn’s shapeshifting Skrull character. Specific details about the show are being kept under wraps, but its basic premise revolves around the way the Skrulls infiltrated Earth using their shape-shifting powers to keep us unaware.

We don’t have details yet on who Colman might play in the series.

Mr. Robot vet Kyle Bradstreet writes and executive produces the show. Kingsley Ben-Adir has also been announced as a cast member. Again, details remain under wraps, but it seems like a villain role.

Colman won an Oscar for her role in 2018’s The Favourite. She shifted to TV to play another British queen on The Crown. She’s nominated for another Oscar in this year’s lineup for The Father. Colman’s will next be heard in the animated feature The Mitchells vs. the Machines.
