It’s been awhile since we first reported that Andy Muschietti was working on The Flash film. Today, both Warner Bros and the director shared updates on social platforms to celebrate the first day of shooting for the upcoming film. The Flash has been in pre-production for a number of years now with different challenges popping up that stopped it from reaching production.
Ezra Miller returns as Barry Allen/The Flash alongside Ben Affleck as Batman. Michael Keaton is also returning as a different iteration of Batman. Kiercey Clemons is also reprising her role as Iris West. Ron Livingston is taking over the role of Henry Allen after Billy Crudup had a scheduling conflict with the film. Birds of Prey screenwriter, Christina Hodson wrote the script.
The Flash film is set to release November 4th, 2022.
