Paramount Pictures has delayed the release of their and eOne’s Dungeons And Dragons movie. Originally set to release May 27th, 2022, the film will now release on March 3rd, 2023.
Now, it is unknown if this means the film will not be going to production this spring, and will instead going into production in Ireland next year.
As far as casting goes, we know Chris Pine, Justice Smith, Michelle Rodriguez, Rege Jean-Page, Sophia Lillis, and Hugh Grant have all been cast in the film.
Another thing that hasn’t been revealed at all is where the film is going to be located. Paramount and Hasbro haven’t said or revealed anything yet. And with a lot of interesting and cool locations in the D&D mythos, The good news is no matter where this film ends up taking place, Paramount can really take this story in any direction.
This change should give Paramount and the film’s creative team time to really get this film set to ready to start filming next year.
