It’s Resident Evil’s 25th anniversary this year. Hard to imagine that we’ve been scared for 25 years all the way back to the PlayStation One. To celebrate, Netflix is bringing out a new CG animated series. RESIDENT EVIL: infinite Darkness is coming this July from acclaimed director Eiichiro Hasumi with music by Yugo Kanno.
As you can see in the trailer above, the series focuses on Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Leon is investigating improper access to files at the White House when the power goes out. In the midst of the outage, Leon finds out about a new zombie outbreak. From here, Claire and Leon find out about a second outbreak that shakes two distant nations.
You’ll have to find out more about the show when it releases exclusively on Netflix in July.
