She-Hulk looks like it’s really starting to take off with its ensemble cast, especially with the news that Renée Elise Goldsberry is part of it now.
Deadline just recently reported the news that Renée Elise Goldsberry will join the cast of She-Hulk when the Disney+ live action series will eventually premiere in 2022. Even better, Goldsberry will co-star alongside Tatiana Maslany, who will play Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk herself. Goldsberry herself will play a character simply named Amelia. Unfortunately, we have no information about who this Amelia is aside from that she’s the co-star. We’ll just have to wait for Marvel and/or Disney to give us that info later.
Renée Elise Goldsberry: Details
Some of you might think Renée Elise Goldsberry sounds very familiar. If you do, then congratulations. You’re a fan of Hamilton. The musical, not the person. Although the musical does star the person it’s named after.
Yes, that’s right. Renée Elise Goldsberry played Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton. With her powerful singing voice and her distinct look, she practically stole the show out from under the other Schuyler sisters. This includes Eliza Hamilton, née Schuyler, who was supposed to be the main character sister in the musical. Sure, Goldsberry played roles in other films, like the upcoming Girls5eva on Peacock. However, Hamilton looks like it’ll be her most famous role for the near future. We’ll just have to wait and see if She-Hulk will be an even bigger boost to her fame.
Conclusion
Marvel and Disney just got Renée Elise Goldsberry to co-star alongside Tatiana Maslany in the upcoming She-Hulk Disney+ series. Unfortunately, all we know is that Goldsberry will play a character named Amelia, and that’s about it. We’ll just have to wait and see who Amelia is when this Marvel legal comedy comes out sometime in 2022.
