With the COVID-19 pandemic still affecting much of what we do in our daily lives, events are still unfortunately being cancelled and postponed. The light is shining at the end of the tunnel, but we just have to wait a bit longer. PAX East is one of those casualties, though. ReedPop and Penny Arcade have made the choice not to hold PAX East this year, and instead host PAX Online! There is good news though, it looks like they’re leaning towards PAX West and PAX Unplugged as planned on Sept. 3-6 and Dec. 10-12.
PAX Online will return July 15-18. Last year’s event was a smashing success with multiple attendance records set for an online event. At the end of it all, their primary concern is with the safety of those in attendance. So if it’s not safe enough for people to congregate in a convention hall yet, then this is the right choice.
Let’s all look forward to PAX East in Boston in 2022!
